Faina & The Snow Beast is an exciting audio adventure for budding young scientists aged 6 to 11.
So plug in your headphones and let your imagination take you on a journey…

In the snowy town of Seldomberg test tubes bubble, experiments explode and new inventions whirr for
the Science Academy’s Final Exams. But Faina’s got a problem… her project has unexpectedly burst into flames!

Desperate to pass her Final Exams, Faina sets off on a perilous expedition into the wilderness to find
the legendary Snow Beast. With help from her owl assistant Maude, they encounter extraordinary spectacles and mountainous obstacles as they battle through the wild, wintry wilderness in search of the truth.

FAQs

Faina and the Snow Beast can be purchased online through a website called Bandcamp.

How much do I pay?
The price of the audio book is £6.99 (but Bandcamp adds tax at checkout) so you’ll see it’s on sale for £5.82. After tax, you’ll pay £6.98 (to be precise!).
Bandcamp gives you the option to pay a little more if you wish. About 80% of the proceeds from this extra donation will go to Scratchworks.

How do I listen to it?
After purchasing, there are two options:

1. Download the audio book & experiment pack to your device - there will be a link to download in your bandcamp confirmation email.

2. OR stream it (play it directly) from the Bandcamp app on your phone or tablet. The app is free to download for Apple & Android devices.

I can't find the Experiment pack...where is it?
The Experiment Pack can only be accessed if you download the audio book. Your downloads will come in a folder & the Experiment Pack is included there. If you are streaming only, you won't be able to access the Experiment Pack (unfortunately Bandcamp can't do this!) If you need help accessing the Pack, email us & we’ll send you a copy!

How do I send it as a gift?
On the Bandcamp page, click the option to Send as Gift. You will need an email address for the recipient. You can also add a personal message & everything will be sent to your recipient's inbox.

Like many theatre companies in 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our anticipated Christmas tour of The Snow Beast was not able to go ahead - BUT - thanks to Arts Council England,
we’ve been able to adapt the story into an audiobook which can be enjoyed anywhere.

Making an audio book is something we’ve always wanted to do.

These strange times have given us the time and space to do it….silver linings hey!?
